Izmail Fund for Support to Entrepreneurship was founded in 1998 by the Executive Committee of Izmail City Council as a public organization with specific goals as implied in its name.

The idea to establish the Fund has originated from understanding that private entrepreneurship is the main contributor to the development of a healthy local economy and the creation of new and better jobs.

The Fund’s mission is to facilitate the development of entrepreneurship by providing direct practical assistance to local entrepreneurs. We see two major goals in our activities.

First, our Fund serves as a bridging point between the local administration and entrepreneurs.  The city entrepreneurs are welcome to report any complicated issues impeding their activities. These issues are forwarded by us to be further discussed at the meetings of the Coordination Council, which was established at the Executive Committee of Izmail City Council and deals with business issues on a local decision-making level. 

The second goal is aimed at assisting local entrepreneurs to meet current challenges and demands of the economy. Direct support to SMEs implies provision of various business-support services such as consulting, training, information and financial support. Organizing economic missions, business presentations and round-tables are important components of our work. The Fund is also one of the organizers of the city and international exhibitions within the framework of the Lower Danube Euroregion.
