Object of the project

The object of present project is:

· spreading the information about opportunity of development of green tourism among interested stratums of population and local authorities in the region; training in this business some groups of interested country-people and creating a model of guest houses for village tourism on example of 2-3 village farmsteads;

Tasks of project:

· Creating of local department of Federation of green tourism of Ukraine on base of Lower Danube Tourist’s Information center;

· Organizing and leading training programmes of legal foundations of development of green tourism for representatives of local authorities who wish to further the development of this business on their own territories;

· Giving information to rural population and local authorities about opportunities of development village green tourism in village farmsteads;

· Organizing and leading series of trainings for village farmsteads owners’ who want to occupy or who are already occupied with tourists’ reception in their own farmsteads;

· Learning and spreading the best Ukrainian and foreign experience in the development of green tourism;

· Making the positive tourist image of Lower Danube on green tourism market;

· Spreading (drawing) a successful local experience among concerning persons (owners’ village farmsteads and farms) of Lower Danube.

First year activities of the project:

· Several meetings were led with representatives of the local authority, active workers of the farm-movement and interested persons. There the project presentation was realized. The base of the information about village farmsteads’ owners was created.

· For the group of potential owners of guest houses the cycle of trainings on legal and technological aspects of the organization of tourists’ reception in village farmsteads and on marketing and advertising were led.

· Four owners of farmsteads which were chosen on competitive foundation have received the financial assistance directed on creating of necessary conditions for tourists’ reception.

· For village farmsteads’ owners who desire to begin business activities in the sphere of the village green tourism the conception of Methodical recommendations was prepared.

· To attract tourists to Lower Danube region a section devoting to the village green tourism was created on web-site of Lower Danube Tourist’s Information center.

· A week preparation training for guide was led on Lower Danube region (10 guides were prepared).

Second year activities plan:

· Leading of four work-meeting in the region on presentation program of the second year project.

· Participating in the second festival of the folk art “Carpatsky vernisazh” (Carpathian opening day).

· Organizing and leading trainings:

1. Business-planning in village green tourism.
2. Giving basic and additional service in the sphere of green tourism.
3. Management and marketing in the village tourism.
4. Categorization agro-farmsteads in the village tourism.

· Instructing excursion for group of agro-farmsteads’ owners to Ivano-Francovsk region for acquainting with local experience of leading business in the sphere of green village tourism.

· Publishing methodical recommendations for village farmsteads’ owners.

· Supporting and renovating of village tourism web-site in Lower Danube. Leading work meeting on the base of totals of the project and exchanging the experience on the base of a local farmstead.
